I cooked dinner today!! (With the help of my mum-ma of course (:)
It was very very simple but awesomely cool. I love cooking but I haven't cooked for a long time. Haaah. The irony. But really! I love to cook!
We made dinner for the family and it looked and tasted really good (: (: I think my future husband is a very lucky man. Haha! But if he's an ang-moh, he's gotta learn how to eat Chinese food man! 'Cos I haven't mastered the art of cooking kentang food!
Or, quoting my mum-ma - "Get him to change his taste for ang-moh food to Chinese food". Hoho!
If my ang-moh wanna eat kentang food, then he's gotta cook it himself!
Anyway!
D7 had CG today and it was fun and powerful!
Dexter shared about an experience that he had and it was a little :S :S and it got the whole CG going "URGGGHHH". Hah. I'm not gonna post up the whole story so you gotta ask him yourself!
But the Word was powerful! Haha, not because of anything else but because it was a Word from God! And prayer was good good good!
It's EASY/CAN/NO PROBLEM!
And Maniam was finally with us after weeks of escorting and motor-biking!
And we all Ramly-ed together! Haha. Noel had $8 worth of food, but, he's a growing man, so it's normal :D
D7 is really cool, yo! We've a date to watch the Barclays Premier League semi-finals and finals together at CHIJMES. I can't wait! Then Maniam and Andy can bike us all home one by one after that. Hoho!
I bet it's gonna be LIVERPOOL vs CHELSEA/MANCHESTER UNITED.
I know Manchester City is filthy rich now, but...aiya. Not their season. Never their season. XD
I'm gonna end this post with something that really impacted me today! Ivan was just sharing about FAITH and Hebrews 11 during the pre-service prayer meeting, and one verse kept coming back to me.
Hebrews 11:24-26
By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.
Moses has always been a character close to my heart, and as Ivan read through this verse today, it just impacted my heart.
As Moses became of age, he decided, and refused to enjoy the comfort zone he grew up in. Having had the revelation of sin, he chose to be with the people of God, his true heritage, rather than enjoy the temporary pleasures of sin. And above all, he looked towards the reward.
Oh man...God is really my best friend, He knows the exact verse to revive and refresh. (:
He never promised it was going to be easy, but He did promise that He will be with us through the mountains and valleys.
Don't look at who you can or cannot be, but remember the Person you were created in the image of. That's your potential.
