Oh what a night! After a great service with Pastor How, great hangout with churchies…the Reds ended the day with a 2-0 win over our biggest rivals – Manchester United.
It would have been better if we could have had our 7th episode of Supernatural Season 5 too…but the victory was good enough (:
What a game…so many thoughts, so many smiles…haha…but with all due respect, Manchester United put up a good game. We don’t like you much, but we gotta admit, our hearts stop beating the most when we play a game against you.
We fought the good fight, and we won this game. Not as glamourous as our 4-1 triumph last season, but something was more special tonight. Maybe it was the fact that this was Owen first game against Liverpool in his Man. U jersey.
But I’ll rant more about him later.
Could we win? Maybe not. We hoped for a draw at the very most. And that dearest Lucas won’t mess up.
It was a doomed-gone game before we even started. Gerrard was definitely not in the starting eleven…Torres’ and Johnson’s conditions were tricky…but knowing our #09, he’ll never pass an opportunity against our biggest rival. Last season, he played with a swollen ankle, endless painkiller injections, and he even scored a goal.
Definitely God’s gift to Liverpool.
Definitely one of Rafa’s best buy, if not the best.
Definitely the blessing of KOPites all over the world.
But I digress.
Something was different in the atmosphere that night. That factor which makes Liverpool the people’s club. The factor which makes KOPites so special. The factor that bonds the team and the KOPites.
Even if we were going down for our fifth loss, we’ll go down together.
No blames, no pointing fingers, just our arms around one another and the belief that as long as we walked together, we can walk through any rain, any storm.

As the game commenced…oh, how our eleven men fought and attacked. A stark difference from our previous games.
Maybe…just maybe…lets start with a goal…just one…like in 2005…
Torres answered our prayers, as he usually does. Ngog substituted him in the remaining ten minutes, and proved the critics wrong when he gave us our 2nd goal in extra time.
Mock all you want.
“Liverpool’s fifth loss tonight?” –certain Man. U fan
*Shrugs*
Some Man. U fans will never get it, will they? Yeah sure, achievements are important, but true love goes beyond achievements. True love and passion continues despite the lack of achievements. True love walks with, celebrates with, cries with, disappoints with.
God loves us despite our flaws, despite our lack of achievements at times. Yeah He wants us to do well in life for our benefit, but in certain seasons, even if we fall, He’s still here.

So yeah…Liverpool hasn’t won the PL trophy for 19 years…we might not win it again this year, but we’ll wait together. We’ll walk through the year together, through defeats together, through the agonizing wait together.
19 years…20 years…21 years…22 years…we’ll wait till we get it.
YNWA.
We’ll walk through the mountains.
We’ll walk through the valleys.
Love takes all or nothing.
We’ll take all of Liverpool – the loss and the victories.
This is the club I love.
This is why I love the club I love.
The team is about the KOPites. The KOPites is about the team.
When they need us, we’re here. When we need them, they’re here.
And as I promised…*sigh*
Owen, Owen, Owen.
The first cut came when you went to Manchester United.
But you dug it deeper when you talked the way you did before tonight’s game.
It’s not just about the jersey anymore. It’s about how you didn’t hesitate when you said that you will celebrate just as per normal if you score a goal in Anfield, in front of the KOPites. We mean nothing to you, don’t we?
No matter who did what to you when you left, I believe the KOPites were faithful to you all the days you spent in Liverpool. We would have loved to cheer for you, just like how we would cheer for Fowler and all the great KOP legends, but…:/
You fell from Heaven to hell, mate.
Oh well. We have Torres now. And one thing we know for sure, if he did leave Liverpool one day, he’ll return like how Fowler returned to us. He’ll be like how Shankly, Dalglish and Fowler were to us.
Onto the next game! (: Walking on…walking on…
